Workshop A

Workshop A: Discovery

Novel Payload Chemistry

9:00 am Designing the Next Generation of Cytotoxic & Non-Cytotoxic Warheads

This workshop is your opportunity to dive into emerging payload classes beyond traditional TOPO1 and microtubule inhibitors, including ATR inhibitors, immunostimulatory agents, PROTACs, and photosensitisers. Participants will discuss payload chemistry, structure-activity relationships, and strategies to overcome resistance.

Key Questions:

  • Delving into ADC bioconjugation – what is the chemistry behind building ADCs?
  • What are the key learnings from failed novel payload programmes?
  • How do we balance payload chemistry with acceptable toxicity profiles and overcome the resistance challenge?

Translation to the Clinic

1:00 pm Leveraging Clinical Outcomes & Performance to Inform the Development of Novel ADC Design

Chief Scientific Officer, Iksuda Therapeutics
Chief Executive Officer, Oxford Biotherapeutics

This workshop will focus on improving translatability of pre-clinical findings to first-in human studies that maximise learning while ensuring patient safety. It will be an opportunity to discuss back-translation strategies to inform next-generation ADC design.

Key Questions:

  • Which ADC designs demonstrate the best clinical efficacy and outcomes by overcoming resistance challenges?
  • How do we establish human dose projections from pre-clinical studies?
  • What can we learn from clinical failures to improve current ADC designs?
