Kevin Hamblett has spent more than 20 years advancing the science and development of antibody-drug conjugates. At Seattle Genetics, he discovered the impact of ADC drug loading on therapeutic index and helped translate this into the development of Adcetris®, establishing the DAR 4 vedotin design paradigm that continues to underpin vedotin-based ADCs today. Kevin later discovered the role of SLC46A3 as a critical mediator of non-cleavable maytansine ADC activity by transporting ADC catabolites from the lysosome to the cytoplasm. Across Seattle Genetics, Amgen, Zymeworks, and Pfizer, he has led multiple ADC programs from discovery through early clinical development.
