- Accelerated development can mean process characterisation and control strategies continue evolving between engineering and PPQ batches. Strong scale-down models, input-material control, rapid data sharing, and close CMO collaboration become key enablers
- ADCs bring together a mAb, linker, and highly potent payload, often across 4–5 manufacturing/testing sites, making specifications, comparability, supply coordination, cost, and timelines critical
- Successful tech transfer requires integration of two different technical worlds, with particular attention to conjugation process robustness, analytical methods, scale-up, containment/EHS, and cross-functional ways of working
