Luisa Freitas dos Santos, Vice President and Global Head of R&D Clinical Supply Chain at GSK, is a globally recognized leader in medicine and vaccine development. Over her 28-year tenure at GSK, she has driven innovations in manufacturing and digital technologies, contributing to 26 regulatory approvals across diverse therapeutic areas including respiratory and infectious diseases, immunology and oncology, impacting millions of patients worldwide. She leads a diverse multidisciplinary team across 5 countries responsible for GMP clinical manufacturing and supply for GSK’s extensive R&D portfolio, ensuring uninterrupted clinical supply, even during the COVID-19 pandemic. A chemical engineer with a PhD and Postdoc from Imperial College London, Luisa is a Chartered Engineer, Fellow of IChemE and the Royal Academy of Engineering, and a Trustee of the Academy.
