Jason Holsapple

Senior Scientist Outer Biosciences

Jason is a Senior Scientist at Outer Biosciences, with focus areas including cutaneous toxicity, barrier repair mechanisms, and Th2-type immune responses. Prior to joining the ex vivo skin model space in 2024, he obtained a Master’s degree from the University of Aberdeen in the UK studying chronic wounds and then his PhD from the University of Münster in Germany in innate immunology within the skin. Before graduate school, he worked nearly 7 years as a research technician across multiple industry disciplines in nonclinical safety assessment at companies including Labcorp, Charles River Laboratories, and LifeNet Health.

Exploring an Advanced Human Skin Research Platform Enabling Long-Term & Immune-Competent Evaluation of ADC-Induced Cutaneous Toxicity
10:30 am
  • Overviewing advanced ex vivo skin platform with demonstration of native structure maintenance and immune competence for long-term culture (~1 month) across diverse human donors
  • Exploring recapitulation of ADC-induced cutaneous toxicity in human skin tissue with mechanistic insight and testing of clinical mitigation strategies
  • Laying out translational screening tool to de-risk ADCs and biologics for dermatologic safety earlier in development
