He is author of 85 patents/patent applications and 27 peer reviewed publications. With his research focus on prodrugs and drug delivery modalities, he was the technical lead of diverse bioconjugate programs including the development of SMDCs cleavable in TME, and ADCs with novel KSPi payloads and a legumain-cleavable linker platform.
He received his PhD from the University of Mainz with Prof. Horst Kunz. After a postdoctoral research stay at the MPI for Biochemistry in Munich he started his industrial career in 1988 at Bayer AG Leverkusen in the Central Research Department. After 14 years he moved to the Pharmaceuticals Division and was appointed a Distinguished Science Fellow in the Bayer Science Community in 2017. Seminars
Re-join the discovery speakers for a closing panel discussion exploring the future directions of ADC discovery innovation. Engage with fellow attendees as they discuss novel payload trends, potential for payload combinations to overcome patient resistance, and the benefits of bispecific conjugates alongside classical ADC design.
